Sins of Infancy

Image
I remember my mom asking me as a kid 'who ate the cookies in the jar?' And my immediate response would always be... 'NOT ME!' Who tought me (a kid) to lie the first time I did? This is one question that has bewildered me from long. Nobody teaches kids about lying, jealousy or anger... but we see every kid with these qualities everywhwere. Never would a parent be able to infer where, how or when their kid learned these things. They may remember telling them to stop .. with no idea who to blame for the start . Though we wouldn't worry much about their redemption at that age... the question still remains: "where do children learn to sin?" I like to believe that we all are “born in sin” This answer never ceased to surprise me since the first I heard it... slowly but soon enough I understood the delinquency and repercussions of sins of Adam. So the answer is pretty clear:  All human beings are born in Sin. So now we know that 'Sin' enters our lives in t...

Shelf Life

“No pleasure is comparable to standing upon the vantage-ground of truth.”                                                                                                            - Francis Bacon 'Shelf life' means: "The length of time a packaged food or drug will last without deteriorating". 'What is the shelf-life of happiness?' Especially in today's world.. How many people are happy? if you are happy...

"And when Love speaks, the voice of God makes heaven drowsy with Harmony" ~ William Shakespeare Often when I hear people say... "God spoke to me"... Anytime you share your trials to a spiritual person, the most common such advice is  "Talk to God before you do anything" Not saying the advice is useless, but one has to understand the intrinsic meaning of such a statement. I have always believed Prayer is not a monologue but a dialogue. Whether you pray 5 times a day or 3 minutes or once a week or twice a year or randomly based on your own requirements... It is important to keep your ears open while you're yakking about your needs to God which aren't news to Him by the way Why "ears" when praying? is it because you get the answer from God in the form of a Voice? I greatly doubt that. Then what is it that you have to keep 'open' to complete the discourse? * Do you believe that Ange...
